Optic Nueritis

I recently dx by nuero optho with ON. Had MRI etc, was told I did not need to treat. No MS, tumor or stroke. I am 48 and male in very good health. was also told too old for MS. I was told to ride it out, it is getting a bit better, but is it normal to not be prescribed meds?

NOT too old for MS!  I presented with ON when I was 44.  Did not have any typical MS lesions.

Was diagnosed when I was 45 because of a second bout of ON.

Just recently had an LP that showed 14 O bands!  Had a definite diagnosis of MS.  I am 47 now.

As I look back over the past few years I can now see the subtle signs of RRMS.

Maybe you have MS, maybe you don't.  Just don't buy that You are TOO OLD statement.
