Foot Question

Good Morning,

I've been freaking out all night about this.  About three weeks ago, I was walking and my right foot (I guess my toe of my shoe) dragged.  Then it happened again last week and then again last night.  It was only a slight drag but caught my attention nonetheless.  Please tell me this isn't the "toe drop" thing that I read about.

I don't remember this happening to me before but quite honestly, I don't know if I'm just more aware of every single little thing that is happening on my body.

Can anyone with the "toe drop" thing tell me if this is how it starts or does it start and just stay bad....if that makes any sense.

Thank you,

Carrie

Interesting.  I always scuff my left foot too.  I just attributed it to being lazy!  Also, I fell at work last summer walking on the sidewalk from one building to another.  Nothing was in my way, I just fell right on my face!  There were people outside, it was a beautiful day, and boy was I embarrased!!!!!!!  I have been super careful when walking on the sidewalk between buildings since then.

Thats not the first time I fell while walking on a sidewalk, though.  They are few and far between, but it has happened a couple other times.  I think I am just klutzy, though.

I don't know if I have foot drop - but at times I trip over my ceramic tiles in my kitchen (there is a little break between each one) and every time I do that I look at the tiles and wonder....how the he... did I just trip over that?  My husband started telling me about 5 years ago that when I run I scuff my feet "like an old grandpa".  Not running so much anymore.

I scuff the front of my left shoe and occasionally trip over raised sidewalk slabs.  It is the beginning of foot drop.  My calf muscles are pulling my foot down and my brain fails to understand where my foot really is (failure in proprioception.)  It is somewhat common in MS and some other neurologic disorders.
