leg very heavy and aches

The last week, my right leg has felt like it weighs a ton when I am walking or going up stairs. At times, I can't even get it to go to the next step, without literally picking it up with my arms and moving it myself. It also has a deep, deep ache and I have the sensation that it is cold, even though to touch it feels the same temperature as the other leg. I have fallen several times in the last week (no injuries). Also, my ears have been ringing NON-STOP for a couple of weeks. The doctors won't take me seriously. They blow it off like I'm crazy. A brain MRI 3 months ago showed multiple white matter lesions, most likely representing old small vessel ischemia. Does this sound like MS? I am getting desperate for someone to believe me! I am not a complainer. I am not a hypocondriac. HELP!

You're symptoms could be from MS but could be from other things too.  Read the health pages at the top right had corner of this page.  There are some great articles.

Most of us have suffered the "there is nothing wrong with you" or "the things on your brain are ischemic"  blah blah blah.  You are in good company here.  We have people in limbo and people in all places of diagnosis.

We don't think you are a hypochondriac!

I am sorry that I am unable to tell you what it is causing your agony - but I can tell you that I get that same feeling minus the pain though - (I feel for ya there)
My legs often feel like there are cement blocks on my feet - worse on right than left - have to take steps with left leg and then kinda drag right leg up - looks pretty stupid.

You are not crazy or a complainer or a hypochondriac - hang in there - keep pushing for answers - don't be afraid to try a new dr. - really does seem like so many of them just really don't listen to what we are saying and therefore we get no help.

Take care.
