Help..can't understand MRI findings..going nuts!

Please help..going nuts here... long story short is..I have many many symptoms of MS and would like to know if anyone can understand my MRI findings.. it says
THERE ARE SEVERAL NONSPECIFIC PATCH T2 HYPERINTENSITIES NOTED THROUGHOUT THE SUBCORTICAL WHITE MATTER, CENTRUM SEMIOVALE, CORONA RADIATA AND THE PERIVENTRICULAR WHITE MATTER WITH THE LARGEST NOTED AT THE RIGHT FRONTAL PERIVENTRICULAR WHITE MATER MEASURING 1MILLIMETER.  THESE ARE NONSPECIFIC AND NONENHANCING. POSTCONTRAT IMAGES DEMONSTRATE NO EVIDENCE OF ABNORMAL PARENCHYMAL OR MENINGEAL ENHANCING PATTERN.
MILD DEGREE THOUGH NONSPECIFIC PATCHY T2 HYPERINTENSITIES INVOLVING THE CEREBRAL WHITE MATTER WITH THE LARGEST NOTED AT THE RIGHT FRONTAL PERIVENTRICULAR WHITE MATTER.  NONENHANCING AND NONSPECIFIC AND CAN BE SEEN IN DEMYELINATION PROCESS.  SEQUELAE OF MIGRAINE HEADACHES MAY HAVE A SIMILAR APPEARANCE CHRONIC SMALL VESSEL.  ISCHEMIC CHANGES MAY HAVE SIMILAR APPEARANCE AS WELL.  CLINICALLY CORRELATE.

I HAVE BEEN GOING NUTS WITH MY NEUROLOGIST TELLING ME ...MIGRANES ETC.. I DON'T HAVE HEADACHES... HAD A ATTACK ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO THAT RESEMBLED A STROKE.. VERY BAD.. AND NOW I'VE BEEN SLURRING..FACE PAIN.......I'M SORRY THIS IS SO LONG.. JUST NEED TO KNOW IF THIS IS ANY POSSIBLE INDICATOR FOR MS LEASIONS.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED..
THANKS
DAWN

Before I answer, would you verify that the largest hyperintensity was  1 (one) mm?

To "qualify" to be counted as an MS lesion they must be > than 3mm, so this is an important point.

YOUR NEUROLOGIST SHOULD BE READING THE MRI'S.

WITH THE INTERPRETATION OF THE RADIOLOGIST IT CAN BE A VARIETY OF CAUSES CAUSING THE PATCHY SPOTS.

IF YOUR NEURO IS GOING BY A REPORT AND NOT LOOKING AT THE ACTUAL FILMS ,THEN ITS TIME TO FIND A NEURO THAT WILL.ITS FOR YOUR BENIFIT.

HAS YOUR DR.DISCUSSED THE FINDINGS OF THE MRI'S WITH YOU?

ALL TO MANY GET THE REPORTS OUT OF BEING ANXIOUS,WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE,THEN COMES ALL THE QUESTIONS.

WHEN DO YOU TALK TO YOUR DR. AGAIN? MAYBE A PHONE CALL TO HIS OFFICE MAY PROVIDE YOU A BETTER UNDERSTANDING.

I feel like I am slurring alot, but my husband sais I am not.  Of course I can often mumble, but now I feel like it is a definate slur.  Also my stroke like symptoms only lasted about 3 hours.  My PCP sent me to ER where I waited 6 hours in waiting room, of course symptoms were gone by the time the dr saw me.

Wow.. sounds like me.. I thought I was having a stroke also..lasted about an hour..couldn't talk..crazy feeling like my tounge was bigger than my head..couldn't move ..now it when I look back at the last couple of years this was not my first episode. Now I'm just trying to get answers to all the insane symptoms..in a way it's a relief to think I'm not nuts.  My slurring is the worst ..not bad enough that strangers can tell but it happens multiple times a day and last just a few minutes..I feel like I'm 100yrs old.  Can you tell me if you have any problems with slurring?  Best of luck to you .. will check back
take care

I am going through the same thing as you right now.  If this is MS I had my first episode start about two weeks ago slowly, but progressed rapidly after what seemed to be a stroke.  My entire left side including my face went numb.  CT showed nothing, but had MRI today.  SHould get results tomorrow, but have cd of images in front of me and I have no idea what I am looking at.  I will keep track of your post because it sounds like I might be having the same questions as you soon.
