Yes I can relate to your story, I very recently had my first neuro appointment after months of symtoms and contineous new ones. I had some bloods done previous which showed no abnormalaties and the neuro carried out some tests in his office just as you described, everything he said was fine. Since then things are not fine for me.
I am going back to my gp next week to start again. I do think that more should be done and we shouldn't be left in the lurch. We know our bodies and when something isn't right, we need answers. Hope you get yours soon.
For years I had good exams before I was finally DX'ed with MS. For me it seemed like it always happened to be a good day when I had my appointments, but would have the problems that should so up in the exam happened when I was at home.

I had my MRI today and Spinal tap is set for Monday. I just wonerdered if people already diagnosed with MS have any good feedback on exams. The doctor acted like I made an A+ on a test...which is good,,, but ya know I just want to know why I'm hurting all the time...... Hope to get results by end of next week!
It looks like your post has fallen to the 2nd page. This happens with the new format that MedHelp set up a few months ago. Sorry you did not have a response yet, but sure others will chime in soon.
I am not sure you really know how well your exam was unless the doctor did a thorough test and also by what he/she wrote in the notes. What is the next step as far as this neuro is concerned? Did he schedule you to come back?
So, the next step in ruling out MS is doing an MRI at the very least as well as blood work to rule out other possible causes to your symptoms. What other testing have you had so far?
In answer to your question, it doesn't sound like enough has been done on you to just rely on the exam although the exam does often reveal abnormalities. It's best to see this doctor again and push for answers and an MRI at the least.
I hope this was helpful. Let's see what others have to say.
My best,
Julie
