You think you can get away with calling yourself old! No way.... you are still a baby to some of the timers around here (mind you I'm only a little pipsqueak in the scheme of things)... being 'old' excuses you nothing, except some of us hope you may have picked up a bit of wisdom somewhere en-route... and share it with us... of course. :)

Thanks everyone, had a good time on the golf course and my friends. We had a nice lunch and the weather was fantastic. Hope everyone else had a great day.
By the way, this is how you know you have memory recall and cognition problems. After I got home from golfing today I needed the date for something and I actually had to stop and check the calendar to see what todays date was. Wasn't to bad, only took about 10 secs before the light went on an I said you idiot, how could you possible not know what day it was.

Happy Birthday! Just because we all have to deal with this lovely detour in life, doesn't mean we can't enjoy the very thing that led to life to begin with...our birthdays! Hope you have a great one...enjoy golf, your wife, the hot tub, basically whatever you can. We'll all be here tomorrow when your birthday has come and gone for another year! Angela

Thanks for your wonderful thoughts. I will be back here later to catch up with my friends. I am going to try and go golfing with a bunch of friends. I used to play 4-5 times a week but over the last 4 years I've been out maybe 6 times. Doesn't even feel like I can hold on to the club. I won't be doing to well score wise but it's more about friendship than score at this point. Of course thats the part that has taken me the longest to learn. I was always so darn competitive, I was a good looser but always played to win even if it was checkers. Now I'm just happy to be able to do those things with a few close friends, and we don't even keep score anymore.
I will surprise my wife and take her out for diner tonight, maybe after we can jump in the hot tub and relax. What is interesting to me is that I still enjoy the hot tub. Heat doesn't seem to bother me like others have described. I find it relaxing to soak in the tub as long as it's not too hot.
I didn't see anyone lining up to paddle my bum... guess it was flogged enough recently, lol.
