Unidentified black area on chest xray

My PCP took a chest xray of me the week before last - looking for Elvis, or Jimmy Hoffa - or some other unexplained phenomena....   He told me Friday that the radiologists found an unidentify black mark near my nipple and they will be calling me to schedule a CT scat with contrast.   I asked him if it was the missing bullet from the grassy knoll, but being as young as he is he thought I was referring to some music group....

Now, why is it that the PCP uses contrast and there is a contrast button on the TV, but the darn neuro's won't use contrast with me!!!????   :-)

Richard,
So sorry to hear you add one more concern to the list....

A pulmonologist has been watching a spot on my husband's lung since February - he has had 5 ct scans so far. Initial dx was aspiration pneumonia.  His symptoms are shortness of breath with any sort of physical exertion. Lung function tests show lobes not inflating.  In late August they went in to do a biopsy, figuring the blockage had to probably be a tumor.  They couldn't find a thing - nothing, nada, zippo ...

He saw the lung doc last week and his next appt is now scheduled for Feb - don't let your doctors be lazy and do the same to you.  I wasn't along for this appt. or I would have raised the roof.  Now trying to talk DH into a 2nd opinion...

Be patient while you wait,
Lulu

It never ends does it, the good news just keeps coming!?!

I'm sure there will be contrasting theories about the contrast issue, but in contrast to what might be said.............................. Oh, cr** that made my head spin.

As with your tetanus lesson.....don't try to be witty when you are in the midst of the grand old cog fog......it is very confusing :-)
