Hi Deb,
Feeling any better? Pseudoexacerbations, chronic symptoms and attacks can be difficult to distinguish between especially when it's a return of an old. Crushing fatigue can be so chronic and dibilitating. I hope this is something that doesn't last long for you or that you are given a balance that is bearable.
Thinking of you,

While I am still new to this dx and learning more and more everyday, I often wonder the same question.
I hope you find some relief and get some answers.
Take Care,
~Tonya
Thanks, Ess. I did find a way to get to sleep. I don't have anything to help with sleep, but I did take gabapentin for the pain in my nose and about an hour later, I was asleep.
I feel better in the mornings than in early afternoon, but I can feel that overwhelming exhaustion creeping back up again now. It's kind of like I've been hooked up to an IV with a depressant in it.
Deb
Deb, if this has just started, I'd say give it a couple of days and see how you feel. Can you take Ambien or Lunesta? Or a pain med you already have? Getting some sleep is so important, and you'll be better able to assess what's going on if you can rest.
If an old symptom returns or gets worse, that certainly can be a relapse. Remember that a lesion is a lesion, and is never going to heal to the point of perfection. Also, I'm thinking that if MS liked one spot previously, it can like it again.
It's hard to know what causes what, but I think in a day or two you'll have a better idea. Then call your neuro, if need be.
Hugs,
ess
