Hi there,
I 2nd Sunny that it sounds like a bad day. But, for MSers and chronic'ers it's most never "only" one day. Unfortunately, oftentimes it's a daily symptom, or other symptoms of MS that wear us out most.
Remission is a myth to me if it's mean to equate to "normal" times inbetween messed up ones! Most I wish for is a new normal when things go haywire.
Best to jot it down, that way you can look back on it and see if you are showing any patterns. And, hopefully it won't get worse. Will help you help the Dr. too during appts.
Wishing you some rest, and better days.

p.s. 14 huh, least you still hold all the strings :)
Thanks for support.....I think I just have to take the rough with the smooth and it seems that there are some days when I feel better than the previous day..but never symptom free.
I am also wondering if the gabapentin and amoxycillin is acually making me more groggy...but have been on meds at least a month now so do not think it would suddenly make me more tired.
Ah well, feel a bit more refreshed today even if body still feels heavy and tingly. It is a bank holiday in England so a day to relax and be with family.
Sarah xxxx :)
I recall teenagers as loveable, enjoyable persons who always had more energy than I, and that was long before I was diagnosed with MS. I've been having the same symptoms, actually, getting up weary and shaky, sometimes with a headache too. I can't remember having felt shaky before or having headaches constantly. Like you, I don't believe it's the gabapentin or amoxycillin that has done this to you. You do seem to be one who is "sparky" and just pushes on, no matter what, which can be both good and bad for us MSers. I hope what you're going through passes soon. I don't believe anyone can really tell, with any clear certainty, relapse or remission. I agree with Shell 100%. Take it easy when you can. And yeah, enjoy your teenagers and family when you can too. jo
2. it probably wouldn't have knocked the stuffing out of you before.
3. i'm going through a very similar experience (ms-wise. i have no children so i can't really be going through the raising-a-teenager thing. though i can tell you when i was fourteen i had a wild and crazy night with a sixer of miller lt.. ah, youth.. we were so stupid). if your symptoms are continually coming and going, changing into other things, etc, how is it relapse-remit? i mean i get it, but it makes as little sense to me as an exacerbation being something new. doesn't the word mean "to make worse" (or similar)?
though doc did tell me this week that the fact that most of my buzzing/vibrating is gone shows remission.. said neurological function is returning. i count better as being able to do simple tasks without tiring, though. different scale, i guess...
anyway, sleep lots. sounds like that's what your body wants. and should get. : )
