I use Fioricet for my migraines. Works like a charm but be prepared to take a nap after you take it. Makes me sleepy but after an hour I usually wake up and feel fine.
I use Fioricet fairly regularly. Usually about 2-3x/month. It works best for my hormonal headaches/migraines. I don't normally have any sort of side effect with them. And I don't get sleepy on them. I've been using it for over 6 years at this point.
My MS doc gave me a few to try for headaches...havent tried it yet.

like Mary, I used it a very, very long time ago for headaches and insomnia. I think that it helped some. It's hard to remember. What are you taking if for?
I remember taking it years and years (and years) ago for tension headaches but can't remember if it was very effective. It most likely knocked me out for a while as I took no other medications at the time. It has a barbituate ingredient, generic Tylenol and caffeine.
As a general reminder, always check to make sure if narcotic pain relievers and prescription headache medications contain acetaminophen. Many of them do in an attempt to boost the effectiveness. This can made it all too easy to take in more than safe daily levels of the drug. More than 4000mg a day can be toxic to the liver.
