Foot and leg pain/ arms feel weak

Hey gang! I have a question for you all. Last week it started warming up here in my area, getting up to the 50's. I noticed at about the same time it started warming up, that my feet and legs were starting to hurt a little bit, feeling like I've walked all day long. Now it is in the 60's, and my foot and leg pain is completely unbearable. To top it off, my arm muscles feel as though I have hit a very rigorous workout, and I can now barely open a bottle of gatorade. Also, I am exhausted. I actually pulled into the driveway at home, and shut off the key, and laid back to sleep. I felt a lot better when I awoke, but within an hour, my pain was back and I was miserable again.

I have only noticed this, but for the last three years, I have had this foot/leg pain. I only put it togther that it comes on when it starts warming up, as this is about the time it happens every year. Anyhow, I wouldn't be on here talking about it, but the pain is, for lack of a better word, incredible.

Any thoughts as to any vitamins or anything to help relieve the pain. I took some Ibuph. last night, with no relief. I have an appointment in May with a nero, so I am happy to wait until I get in there, before I seek Dr. support. I was just wondering if any of you had any insight.

Thanks very much for the heads up on the stretching. Before it was over (Mar. 20th), my right arm couldn't even be straitened. It appears some damage was done, as my elbow and muscles are so sore now. I attribute the relief to vigerous stretching. Thank you.

The warmth is making my spasticity act up.  I would recommend making sure you're getting plenty of potassium, drinking lots of water, and stretching.  Quix recommends stretching the affected muscle for a long time - fifteen minutes or so.  I don't think I've ever made it that long, but I'll hold a stretch on a muscle that's acting up for five minutes or so, and it really helps my flexibility.

Stretching is very important, as it keeps the muscle fibers from shortening.  You can lose a lot if you don't stretch.

I've noticed an increase in pain and stiffness as spring rolls into view for years.  Like you, it catches me by surprise every year.  In fact, I've noticed increased pain in the last week or two and (yet again) hadn't connect it to the changing weather.  I ashamed to admit that it's not the result of any increased activity.

I always imagine that my body will feel better as winter ends.  I love sunshine skies and heat therapy usually soothes my joints.  It just doesn't happen that way when spring warms the air.  It must be something with the humidity or barometric pressure or some other season changing phenomenon.

Now that I think about it, several people I know are complaining lately.  Even the dogs at the park don't seem to have the desire to run around like usual.  

I hope someone else here has the answer we lack.  At any rate, I do remember that the pain usually fades as the weather stabilizes - or I adjust my tolerance meter and handle it.
