I am the only luck one on either side of my family, going back 2 generations.

My sister has ms and my step dad her father has ms and I have a cousin on my moms side with ms
I have MS, and my biological aunt (dad's sister) died about 6 and 1/2 years ago due to complications of MS.
I am the only one in my immediate and/or extended family that has MS with the exception of an aunt who is the sister of my step-dad, so not blood related. However one of my friends who has MS, also has a father and a brother with MS.
I only have one son, but I do worry about him especially since he was just diagnosed as being Vitamin D deficient.
Hi Linda,
I am the only one of all my relatives, including my 2 sons who has MS. Just lucky I guess :)
Deb
Linda, the worry and interest is natural. I have one daughter w/o MS at least for now. I also have three granddaughters and do think about this, especially since this tends to be more a woman's disease.
I'm sorry you have two generations of MS in your family tree.
I am the only one in my entire immediate and extended family with MS. I'm child-free.
Ms web page says less than 1-2% chance of passing to children
