Good work news...off topic

I'm going back to my seasonal government employer, but to a new job.  No raise in pay grade, but the season is likely to be nearly 11 months long, guaranteed over 6, thereby qualifying me for (drum roll) federal employee health insurance.  I get to start on my 34th wedding anniversary, January 5.  Definitely something I've been praying for.  I don't need anything else for Christmas or the anniversary.  Or valentine's day, or my next birthday.

Just got back from a four-day weekend visiting our kids and some of the friends we left when we moved.  Everybody is doing well.  Our oldest boy is a maintenance/security/firefighter person at the small airport, and we hung out with him as he cleaned the terminal Friday night.  I was a little disappointed he turned down my request to surf on the baggage claim carousel.  Maybe next year when the new wears off?
