Just wanted to wish you luck with your biopsy. Also, you may have seen this, but apparently they are working on a new test for monitoring mitochondrial diseases that would be a blood test for glutathione levels:

Yes, all that was discussed in great detail. They have lined up the appt so that it is only a very short wait for the plane to have it flown to Brisbane ASAP for the pathologists to pick up immediately from the airport. The surgeon has spoken to the neuro to find out exactly what type of tests he wants done. The neuro has explained the importancy of getting this biopsy totally accurate.
They are all been just so wonderful to me out here, organising all this, so that I don't have to travel long distance again as the last trip really took it out of me and I am just only starting to get over it. I praise them so highly in the medical field for their profiency and their caring of their patients.
Take care and thanks for your wishes of luck to me

AMO gives you great advice about how the sample will be handled. We certainly wouldn't want you to have to do all that waiting for the sample, then the sample rendered useless, because it was not handles correctly.
I would want to know what lab is going to do the work and how far away from you they are. I am sure the doctor's) well at least I hope; have enough understanding about a muscle biopsy and how to handle the sample. I pray they do.
Fantastic information to bring up, AMO. As always....
My best to both of you. Good luck Bears with the biopsy. We will be waiting in March hopefully, for the results. Please do not forget to post and let us know.
Hugs,
Heather
