Has anyone had these symptoms??/

I will be going to an MS specialist soon.  My physician says I have MS, a neurologist said that he doubts it and to wait and see.  With 2 young children and starting work in a month it's hard to wait and see...

I am completely exhausted (don't want to move!), blurry vision, 3cm lesion on right side of brain, left leg heavyness, tingles in toes and fingertips, tingles in right side of face, depression (on antidepressant for it now) Did anyone start with this????   It's so hard being in limbo and not knowing why I feel horrible....

tumor was ruled out... as was lyme.

I was told if a spinal comes up positive it still may not be MS, HELP!

Hello,
I have similar symptoms and have-not been diagnosed yet.

I take Baclofen for the heaviness and spasms in legs.
I take neurontin for all the tingles and buzzes.
I take Celexa for anxiety and depression.

It seems to help a lot that since I don't Hqve a diagnosis, I am glad that my symptoms are less.  I function a lot better.  Just beware of the heat!

Maybe you doc can prescribe these to you to help with the symptoms until they know what is going on.

Hope that helps.

Kerri

hi and welcome to a great community.  WW is right in that there are many things that can cause those symptoms in addition to MS.

One frustrating/crazy thing about MS is it is a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning all the other 100+ things it could be have to be eliminated as a possibility first.  The doctors have to go through all sorts of tests and fairly rigorous criteria before calling this MS.

It can take a long, long time to get answers .  I refer to it as neurological time, which at times seems to move as slowly as the ice ages.

In the meantime we are here and available to answer questions and give advice.  I hope we will see you around.

be well, Lulu

Wow, there are other things that can cause these symptoms. Have you seen a rheumatologist? Have they rules out other things like an autoimmune disease? I recently found out a form of kidney disease can cause lesions..Sheesh. When are you going to see an MS specialist and what state?

I had stuff going on like that in my 20's. I was told it was stress and smoking. 2007 - many lesions - classic MS. Somehow I managed to work. I took jobs that I knew I could get a break..like a temp agency, or in MO at the theatres where I had a split shift, or for me, 3-11 in a hotel where I would have moments of quiet to rest. I had MS when my children were small and didn't even know it. I just got called "lazy". I feel for you, for sure. I pray they can pinpoint it soon.

hugs.
