Are the 2 issues related?

In early January, I collapsed at church. An EMT and fire fighter were present and BOTH stated they witnessed "seizure" like activity. As the EMT stated I was so "unresponsive" he was pinching both ears w/o an eyelash moving.
Was taken to local hospital and transferred to a larger hospital and admitted to neurology floor with "stroke" like symptoms.Right sided weakness, severe HA on right side, slurred speech. Symptoms resolved within 48+ hours. With some slight residual weakness in right leg.The MRI of brain showed white matter disease and a ct of chest showed pneumonia and bilateral irregular pulmonary nodules. EEG was "normal" with some "slow waves noted" Yet the drs. at the larger facility claim "there is nothing wrong with me" I am VERY confused! Help! I

Hi Lpolak, the first line of your text struck me, because my neighbour started exacly the same way you did! She was in church and her husband at first though she was dying or even dead. She was rushed to the hospital and they did all kinds of tests, I am sorry I don't know the whole story, but this was 1,5 year ago and she is still getting seizures, I am not English speaking but I think it is called epilepsy?

But it is a strange kind of epilepsy, she sometimes has slurred speach and her eyes sight gets bad. But the doctors are figuring out the right medication for her, and she is on her way to get better. I hope you get this figured out soon so they can start treading it.

My best to you,
Dagun

Lpolak,

I see why you found us. Stroke like symptoms, and the rest you mention  - all common among MSers.
However, I am no doctor, but the collapsing, the resolution in 48 hours the seizure like - if it were me, I would pursue a neurologist who specializes in seizure disorder. This is only my opinion, and hope it helps.
