Here we go again... the week of Nov. 16

We have the weekly habit here of reporting in what is going to happen in the coming week that may be of significance - this can be doctor appts, celebrations or even taking the dog to the groomer!  Whatever you want to share for the week, this is the place to do it so we all know what to look for in the next 7 days.

So what's up?

Lulu

Today, I ran bunches of errands (thanks, Provigil!), had a nice long phone chat with my sister,  and will give myself my 3rd Avonex injections soon.

Tomorrow, I'm on clear liquids until I take my colonoscopy prep solution and spend much time in bathroom.  (I'm missing a birthday party for this!)

Wednesday, finish prep solution, more potty time, then 12:45 pm colonoscopy.

Friday, if I'm feeling well, I'll go to water aerobics in the morning, then Soccer; Pilot Women's round three at 7 pm.  Sounds like another Provigil day!

I agree...a little bit of boring would be nice.

I hate to hear you may loose your job. Hopefully you can find something else - and maybe even better.

Best of luck!

Boring would be good.  Found out today my day job's likely to be eliminated in January.  Oh well.  I've been asking God to open a door somewhere, so I am sure He will.  As I told another person in the office who received the same news, "We were looking for jobs when we found these ones."  Would rather not go there again, but I've been there and back.  God has always provided.

I have a doc appt with my family doc. She will be talking to me about who she recommends as my MS Nero. And getting the appointment set up.
More mri appointments etc.
I have gone from walking with weakness on left side and having trouble making my left foot/leg to do what I tell it to, to dragging myself w a walker. I'm trying so hard to keep walking. Just makes me so darn exhausted to even walk to the bath room, get dressed, bath etc.
Then it takes me  time after sitting down, to calm all these old/new symps down.
I'm so slow... I have to plan out what to put on and I lay it in order so when I start moving around and get more confused, I don't have to feel worried about trying to remember what to do next.
My kids organized my skin care one day a few days ago in the order they go too.
I'm anxious for Docs to decide what kind of ms I have and start meds to help me get back to at least SOME normal!!!    Anxious/lost/learning   NiCee

Heather, I am so glad you confessed to having a boring schedule this week - you can join me in twiddling our thumbs for entertainment. And I like it that way too!   All I get to do is PT for my bladder on Friday - its an excuse to leave work early.

At least Alex, LoveMyBostons and Tarter have something on their schedules....... they must be younger than you and me!  :-)

I'm getting my very first FedEx shipment of Copaxone tomorrow. I will meet with a Shared Solutions nurse hopefully this week also so I can learn to inject properly. I'm excited but reality is hitting me also - I hope I can get used to a daily shot.

I'm going for my second visit with the MS specialist Tuesday. My next appointment was scheduled for late January, but a nurse from her office called last week to tell me she wanted to work me in early to go over the results of my brain MRI and c-spine x-rays.

According to the reports, I have one enhancing lesion and a small spur on my spine. The nurse mentioned the spur to me on the phone but didn't not say anything about the brain MRI or the lesion, so I'm feeling a bit anxious about how things will go Tuesday. I keep wondering if she didn't mention it because they don't think it's significant - or because it is significant and they didn't want to discuss it with me over the phone.

Right now it feels like Tuesday can't get here quick enough. I guess I need to excerise some patience and try not to dwell on it it so much. But I'm finding that hard to do. After almost two years of living in misery and having no answers, I'm more scared of being told "let's wait and see" or "that lesion is nothing of concern" than I am of being diagnosed. Being diagnosed would actually be a relief.

I hope you all have a good week!

Bandit is getting pretty shaggy looking, now that you mention it.  So am I, frankly.

I am going for a normal run of the mill eye exam tomorrow afternoon, so I'll drive home with dilated eyes, and might not want to type on here much.  That's about it, I think.

So glad to be all moved, even if we're unpacking and finding space for stuff for the next year.  Starting to feel settled, like this is really home, and I love it.

God bless all.

Not to much going on here this week. I am however waiting for a call from Neuro # 3 anytime now. I am anxious about this appt. It's again in another town approx. 9 hrs from home. This neuro works with a group of neuro's and apparently people  who are seen there have a high % like 90% that once you leave there you are most likely to have some answers.

I guess this is definitly worth waiting for, seeing that I remain in limbo off work still.

Have a good week everyone!!
