How wonderful of you to keep us on your prayer list! I truly believe in the power or prayer.
My symptoms began with optic neuritis in the right eye. At first all of my limbs were affected, but after the initial attack I was left with left sided weakness. My left leg is very weak and spastic and my left foot has foot drop. My left hand has weakened fine motor skills. Luckily it has not spread to my right side at all! I think your observation It was very interesting!
Welcome back :)

For me this is one question I have, but one issue at a time I guess. I'm still in limbo. My Dr said MS but no "proof" yet other then symptoms.
My issues started about 15yrs ago always tired and terrible, terrible foot/lower leg pain. Was diagnosed with Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome (Almost like Carpal tunnel but of the feet) so all the leg issues/pain, pins and needles I ignored. Which did start on the right lower leg area. Then went to the left lower leg area. Over the years I had issue but of course ignored them. Figured it was the TTS... Last year my left leg would just go dead on me, I assumed it was the TTS so figured this is not good I need to go to the Dr lol He said NO this is definitely not my TTS. So, is it whatever I have going on that has effected my legs so long or is it TTS? No idea and really not sure what side mine started on because I'm not really sure when it would have started.
Also let me add that even left sided people get the keys taken away. I was driving stick when my leg decided to go dead :) Not an easy task to do when shifting eeks... A few times I ended up sitting at lights or stop signs until I could get my leg to do what I needed. Scary and darn well embarrassing!!!
But now, I am more of a left person then right. My right side does have slight issues but not nearly as bad as left. I get muscle spasms on both but twitches on the left and much more pain, numbness and pins and needles on my left.
Good to "see" you, too, Lisa! I don't how wonderful I am but I know prayers help me so I send them out for others, too. As they say, "couldn't hoit", right? :)
JJ, I love it. Strainer for a brain. That exactly describes me these days. I'm going to steal this and use it over and over. (If I remember it, that is... )
Nice to hear from you! And how wonderful and thoughtful that you say prayers! What a woman!
My input on this topic is that my experience was on the left. Left leg, left hip. However, when I had my CIS event in April, my right arm was jerking across as if someone was pulling it along my stomach toward my left side. Was really weird. However, I had bilateral vibrations of my feet for years and years. My left leg gets goosebumps on it for no reason at all. My "right" eye is the first eye to go blurry (extremely) but my left side was blurry too but not as much.
I don't know what I have -- but whatever it is, it seems to go all over the place, one limb or organ at a time. LOL
Lisa
A lot of my issues are predominently left side and my sight issues are in the right eye but I have to say my right side is starting to catch up with the left now. My language centre is wonkie and language is suppose to be generated from the left side of your brain and then there is balance and isn't that the little brain? lol sorry my brain doesn't work when i want it too. So by my reconning i've got holes in the right, left and little brain lol i've got a strainer for a brain.
cheers........JJ
Lu, that's a very interesting observation. I must've missed those conversations but I may have to go search them out. :)
My symptoms are on my right side with occasional pings on my left side.
I know we've talked a bit here before about why the right leg has to be affected so often because that's the foot we neet to drive a car. It's our body's way of taking away the keys.

My stuff started in the "right brain." Left arm pain for a few years that the ortho couldn't figure out (neg xrays and neg EMG,) then ON in the right eye. That moved on to right sided TN and right sided weakness in my arm and leg. I also developed right sided spasticity.
So I guess my symptoms started with stuff related to the right side of my brain and then ended up in both sides. Pretty consistent with my MRIs.

Hey, Alex!
Yes, I do keep a list of people who have asked me directly or posted here on the forum asking for prayers. I don't trust my poor brain to remember anything these days. LOL And, as I told someone the other day, I write my prayer list in permanent marker. I figure, even if you only need prayers for a short time, a few extra prayers won't hurt anyone and I won't need to add you back in next time since you'll already be on the list. :)
Can't say I always go down the list and name everyone on it but I do mention each time something along the lines of "my friends on the list" or "you know my list, God" or something like that so there is at least somewhat of a "blanket covering" if I don't do a name-by-name thing. (I have a long list! LOL)
I am not yet dx'ed. I have what I (un)affectionately called UWS - undiagnosed weirdness syndrome - but I have noticed several times on many posts the mention of "left side" and wondered about it. I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone nibbled.
Be well! :)
An interesting question because when I first started all my symptoms were equal on both sides. I too had wondered about my symtoms comparted to other MS sufferers. Now a few months in there seems to be slightly more leg weakness on my right side and I have my left hand is now affected. That is the amazing thing with the disease - it affects us all in so many different ways.
It is lovely to hear you have a little prayer list. I believe it absolutely helps.
Blessings
Alex
