so shakey....

Hi guys, this HAS BEEN  the toughest couple of days.  I am SO very shakey and wobbly thIat I am afraid to stand up for long fearing I'm gonna fall over.  Hubby and I went for a walk today, and when we got home, I was leaning on the door ready to fall over.  and he says, " will you PLEASE sit down " , when I did it took about 10 minutes for the dizzy part to go away..... I ate some yogurt, and thought that maybe my blood sugar was low, but that did not help.  So, I could use a suggestion if you have any.

I have been shakey before, but not like this, and I am just over another relapse about 1 month ago, and I'm wondering if this is something new , or yet another relapse?  Could that be?   When I wewnt to the hospital the last couple of weeks, they wanted me to be seen by my neuro at the MS clinic, within 24-48 hours., well, I am still waiting for the call.

They say they have no time, is the explanation that comes from my GP .... and he won't do the DMD's without the Clinic saying ok?  So, I am at a loss now,

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted?
Thanks,
Candy

Candy, I'm sorry you're still feeling so bad.  Remember - a relapse can take a looonnnngggg time to resolve.  Be patient with yourself, don't tackle too much, and yes, sit down!

I hope you feel better sooner than later.

Hi  guys, thanks for the advice and support.

Sidesteps, YES I had steroids, but not IV I took it orally, 12 pills in the morning, and 13 in the noon time, of 50MG. of predisone.

I cannot say if it helped, but hubby said that he did notice an improvement.  I'm still not there yet.

I forgot to tell you that I TOTALLY lost my grandson's 6th b-day, apparently, I woke up to take my meds, and go to the bathroom, but you think I REMEMBER ANY OF THIS .....Nope, not a second.  I totally lost 2 1/2 days, and when I finally got up, I asked my hubby to go to breakfast the next norming, and he said, it was not Saturday, it was Monday morning.   I don't know what to do about this, the MS clinic is absolutelty still NO HELP, and there are not any other neuro's to go to.

Shell, YES I do use a cane, and have had to for about 1 year now, and it for sure helps.  And lately, I also  have to use hubbies arm too !!!

This is NO fun, and I am so at my witts end......:(

thanks so much guys,

Alex, I do take it easy, and I do have faith, and hope that this is just another bump in the road, but my road is always extra bumpy now.

*hugs* to all,
love Candy

Hi Candy,

I agree with the thoughts that this may be the same relapse. But, please put the thumb on that dang neuro - geesh! Someone should of got back to you.

Hubby is right though my lady - you do need to sit and avoid a fall :( In the meantime, can you get a cane so you can keep your legs moving with some balancing help? Falling can and oftentimes does bring on so many other problems, and the flip side of sitting too long is that it will weaken your legs - making recovery that much harder.

Hi Candy,

What a terrible time... been there, done that over the last week but the only comfort I can give you is, provided that you do get better, once you recover you will feel like a new woman!

It is an absolute rollercoaster of misery, fatigue, pain, despair isn't it? But stay strong, be thankful for the family and friends who are concerned about you, and when you least expect it the recovery comes.

MS is so unpredictable like that. When you least expect it you go down. When you least expect you go up.

So don't lose the faith. We are all hear your pain and you certainly have my sympathy and prayers.

Rest up and get better soon.
Blessings
Alex

Candy,

So sorry you are feeling this way. I really hope it goes away quick. I agree that it may be the same flair. But I can't say for certain. Just take it easy and don't push yourself and hopefully it will pass sooner than later.

IVSM is a good idea, it helps alot so you should ask about that.

Good luck,
Paula

It almost sounds like you are not over your flare from a month ago to me. I know the flare I had in the Fall of 2010 lasted about six weeks to two months.  My symptoms flowed one from the other so looking back I can see that it was one long flare.

Did they treat the last flare with IVSM?
