Our local MS support group has a party at the home of one of our members (nice, totally accessible home). Pot luck hors d'ouvres, drinks, laughs, etc.
I didnt post this exactly right. It started at the top and ended at the bottom.
Help Spread Holiday Cheer!
Coping with nursing home life or being isolated at home because of a chronic illness
HI all,
This is a little about the holiday bag program I am part of. I am sure I can find more info, but this is a start. I am tired, so perhaps I just cant find it. I have many emails about it, but unfortunatly some bad thing took all my emails away. I am trying to get them back, and might need to take the computer in and have it looked at.
Anway below is something I copy and pasted from the Ohio Buckeye chapter of MS society. I dont know whether the 800 # is just this chapter, or a general # to the MS society.
MS can be emotionally difficult. Each year, we distribute small holiday gifts to people with MS in these situations during the holidays to help them feel connected and let them know that others care.
We are looking for volunteers interested in delivering holiday bags. You will be matched to individuals in the areas that you specify (to the best of our ability).
If you would like to volunteer to help deliver the bags, or if you have questions about the program, please contact us at 800-344-4867.
Kelly, I'm glad you're going to this - interacting with others who also face the challenges of living with MS can be very healthy and productive. -L
Hi Lu,
The Nat'l MS Society is having a Holiday Party for Southern Colorado that me and my partner are going to on this coming Thursday (16 Dec) evening.
It's at a local restaurant and there will be heavy appetizers & beverages, and each person is going to be given a small gift.
