I am going to be getting a Western Blot test done

Hi everyone! I have been checking out the lyme disease forum, posting questions and doing some research as much as I can do until the eyes can't take it. I started to look into the fact that when i was 17yrs. old, I had Cat Scratch Fever. After doing alittle research, I could have also contracted Lyme Disease but went unnoticed because of the Cat Scratch Disease.

Anyway, I had to go to my fam. doc. tonight because my kids and I have sinus infections!! Great, and I am still healing from sinus surgery and double orbital implant surgery.. CAN YOU SAY PAIN WITH A CAPITAL P!!
I mentioned to my doc. about what my neuro. said about my hand tremor, that its anxiety that is causing it, and she looked at me like "what" so he thinks you have anxiety on your left side only?? I said apparently. So, I told her my concerns about lyme disease. I said, if this is not MS, could this be lyme eventhough the blood test that I had done was negative.

She said we can do a Western Blot test. I have no clue what that consists of, but I was so thankful that she is always so willing to hear me and will do whatever to help me. She said that if it comes out pos. then she wants to test my kids as well, because if I have had this lurking in my body for 22 yrs. then its possible I could have passed it to my children while pregnant.

I can only pray for an answer, one that makes sense. NOT ANXIETY!!
If this test is still negative, then I am back to square one and the only other possible sensible dx, is this MyStery Disease.

Thank you all for listening,
Pam

Let's all extend a leg and kick square one in the @ss.

Fatigue is the worst of all symptoms aside from episodic pain (rare for me at least).  The other symptoms such as paresthesias, ataxia, fine motor issues are just a nuisance.  My fatigue lasted over 10 months 24/7.  I think it is starting to get better. (knock on wood) but then something new comes along as you very well know.  I stopped complaining and/or whining to my boyfriend about them and just come here to do so LOL. This way I get what I need to get off my chest even if no one cares to read it!  It's very therapeutic!

I can't imagine having a child or children during the extreme course of fatigue. I could hardly care for my quaker parrot during that time.  I remember around 4pm I would feel like it was 3 am and it was time for bed.  I used to go at 7pm and get up at 6:30 am.  And still dragged my @ss around and could do minimal house work let alone shower.  Even in the shower I would have to sit on the tiled floor because I was too tired to stand or I sit on the floor now by a full length mirror to do my hair. LOL.

I know what you mean by never being a complainer. I wasn't either until now.  Frankly, I dont care anymore if I am one. I feel we have the right to do so.  Once we were healthy individuals, active, career (even being a full time Mom is one!) and now we are always, always fighting to go through each day.

Dont feel horrible.  Kids are plenty forgiving.  Trust me (mine are 27 and 21 now).  If you have a spare moment and sudden burst of energy or at least some energy to expend, take some quiet time to read a book or take her out for a walk.  Those are the things we remember when we were kids arent they?  Special moments.

I can't wait for you to get your test done.  Why such a wait? I would have said, "I want it tomorrow!" hehe.

You're welcome

Hugs
Lisa

LOL, that is funny, and your right, we should kick "Square One" in the @ss.
I cannot believe how sick I feel everyday, this fatigue is killing me. My 4 yr. old wanted to play a game with me the other morning, I said oh honey mommy doesn't feel good, and she said that's ok, we can relax in my room,
Sooooo, I got on her bed and I fell asleep! How sad is that! She was tapping me on the cheek and saying mom, you are not supposed to really fall asleep! I felt so horrible that I did that.
I just want my life back, I want to get back to a somewhat normal. I was never someone to be a complainer, but that's all I seem to do lately, I am just not well and it plain ol s@#ks!

I will be getting the test done probably in the next week or two.
Thanks , and Hugs,

Pam

Sheesh you poor thing going through all of this and now your children are sick? Yikes!  I sincerely hope that you will get to the bottom of this pretty damn quick -- because I can't imagine how mentally exhausting this can be to deal with this crap for so long without answers.  I only know a small amount for the duration of time I've had and I'm pretty damn fed up already.

I think we should kick "Square One" in the @ss.  :D
