can migraines cause ms

I was in a car accident 22 years ago, and have had migraines ever since.  The last five years have been really rough, I have complicated migraines.  I have noticed when I get over heated or low front in the weather that's a migraine.  I had a disc removed from lower back shortly after accident with severe whiplash.  Cervical spine never went back to original position, today I have a bone spur inside cervical spine. I also have lesions on my brain, having migraines 5 days a week now. Started having whole body shakes, frozen shoulder, left eye lid has dropped, my reports say possible MS.  Can't really get any answers along with the multiple other symptoms I am having. went to another neuro and he say's "cronic pain" really!!!

Most people with MS do not have a genetic link in the family.

The report was from radiology report. I know I have a bunch of issues going on I have had uncontrollable shakes even at rest, they will last or a whole day now when they started at an hour or two a month ago. I have lost a lot of feeling in my left leg into my foot but when walking it feels like walking on rocks, most of my issues are on my left side, but have some on right as well, no history o MS on either side of my family. Have another neuro apt on the 4th but its been a year and no for sure answers, other than radiology report saying white matter disease poss MS.

I agree. MS can cause migraines, but migraines can't cause MS.

Welcome to the group. Sorry that you've been going through Limboland.

Many people with MS experience migraine headaches, however there does not seem to be evidence that migraines cause MS. They do not know what causes MS.

There is no way to determine if you have MS other than the standard diagnostic journey; MRI, LP rule out blood work, evoked potential tests etc. You said you have lesions on your brain. While migraines can cause lesions, their appearance is different that MS lesions.

Was the report that said possible MS a radiology report? A clinical exam report? The more info you can share the more we may be able to help :-)
