Hey, if it hurts, it hurts; don't be afraid to say so. Mine's been so long ago now that I'm not sure I'd remember right, but I remember soreness. However, I remember it being quite.minor. obviously your isn't. Say so; we're.all unique, remember er.
Oh, and I don't have any pains shooting through my extremities or nausea or the other things listed on the paper they sent home with me. Maybe I am a wimp... But darn it, it hurts to get up and go to the ladies' room!
Hugs, Minnie :)
Hi, All :)
As you can see, I had my LP on Friday. I rested a lot over the weekend, andwent to work today. My lower back has been sore, but now it hurts to move much at all. And ugh, I have an all-day mandatory class I have to go to forwork ttomorrow.
I guess there will be as many answers as there are people, yet should I still be this sore? Thank goodness I didn't get "the headache," but wow, it is hard to function like this.
I believe I can generally handle pain pretty well, but I don't want to say anything if it is normal. The hospital had called to check on me but I missed the call because I was in a meeting. I am thinking about calling them tomorrow. Seriously, I can barely bend over. Just don't want to mmake something of nothing.
What do you all think? Maybe use the Ostrich Method and hope it goes away, lol?
Thanks for reading,
Hugs, Minnie :)
My DH is a life-long Cowboys fan! Before we had a team in Tennesse , I watched football (and hockey) with my dad and he was a Steelers fan. So, DH and I both are Titans fans, but things get interesting around here when the Steelers and Cowboys are playing. We're supposed to be arch-enemies, you know ;-) You know whattthey say about opposites attracting, though!
We have the Red Zone Channel (best channel ever... all football and no commercials) so as the great Orator Ron White says, "It'll be a great day, 'Tater! "
Hugs,
Minnie :)
Minnie,
Glad all went well. You picked a good weekend to relax. Go Cowboys!!
Julie
You all are so sweet. Thank you so much.
I admit I have beena bit anxious. Not sure why. The other blood work was for Lyme, ANA, vitamin B12, and a few other things.
Based on my Ophthalmologist report and hints from my Neurologist, I believe MS is strongly suspected. Yet, like so many I have seen here, I am afraid that they won't find anything and I will be left with no answers except "stress." I know how I react to stress, and this isn't it.
I know you all will understand. I don't WANT anything except to be back to my old self. My family and friends are supportiveaand praying fornnegative results. Yet if there are negative results, what does that mean?
Okay, enough thinking for now! There are some good football games on today so I plan to watch a lot of pregame shows and eat more pistachios ;)
Hugs,
Minnie :)
Glad to hear it went so well. So happy you have such an amazing support group. Enjoy your weekend and keep us updated about your results.
Maureen
Glad all went well. It sounds like you were prepared and are doing all the right things to give yourself the best shot for a smooth journey through. An ice pack or gentle heat placed on your back at intervals might help that achy feeling.
Enjoy day two of your lazy weekend. What an excellent gift you and your DH doubled up to bless you with. Not everyone would allow themselves such a healthy choice at this time of year. Bravo to you!!
I'm glad to hear your went well. I have one scheduled for December 20th. I hope mine goes smoothly too. I had planned on going back to work the next day! I hope that is possible.
Lola
Minnie, I'm glad you've had a relatively easy time of it. Your experience is more of the norm than those of us who had the dreaded LP Headache Blues!
Have a deliciously lazy rest of the weekend, and good luck with your neuro appointment.
FWIW, I was diagnosed with a negative LP.
Hugs,
Lisa
Haha, somehow a sentence from the end got in the middle! ;-)
Have been alternating between coffee, cola, water, and Poweraide Zero. Lower back is still a bit sore, but have been deliciously lazy and, knock wood, no signs of the dreaded headache. Not going to be fooled into getting up too soon though!
I am very thankful for my awesome, supportive family and the fact that apparently I was very lucky to have few side effects.
Hugs, Minnie :)
Ugh, my post got mutilated. I hope you can make head or tail of it!
Hugs,
Minnie :)
Hey, great play-by-play. Now remember to drink lots of fluids (especially with those pistachios).
