I'M IN A LOT OF PAIN!

I cannot stand the pain in my arms; hands; elbows and knee anymore! It is this burning, pulsing, muscle spasmy, heavy feeling in the above areas of my body. any thoughts? i have NOT been diagnosed with MS or anything else at this point. my most recent MRI was "unchanged" from the last. the last one showed a few small punctate foci and that was it.

i have an appt with a new nuero for 12/31, but i just cannot deal with this pain-and the exhaustion that seems to go with it~

All I can say is Gabapentin.  Talk to you doctor about getting a script.  If you do not have insurance it is fairly inexpensive.

Hi Texasgirl and welcome to the forum here - i don't think we have crossed paths yet.  

The pain associated with MS and other neurological processes is so different that the normal pain of a headache or stubbed toe.  Treating this type of pain takes different types of drugs.

When you see the new neuro, be sure to talk to the doc about the symptoms and specifically ask for something to treat them.  Fatigue is a common MS symptom.  

The knee and elbow pain probably is not MS - it usually does not settle into the joints that way.  But I'm no doctor.
