Info saturation?

I am pulling together copies of past MRI's (from 2003), reports (just 2), and lab work (just 1 from December's vertigo Event) to drop off at the neuro's today.

(I also have my VEP and BAER, pray for me; the followup with the neuro will be this Thursday!!)

Question: in the reports, there is the incident of my tick bite last May. Is that worth bringing to the neuro's attention? I DID put it in my timeline (the one he didn't seem to want to read). I also don't want to flag it as something that "might" be causing my symptoms. I say this with full belief that I hve had symptoms for ages before the tick lodged in my leg. They are not related.

But, in the interest of full disclosure and all that, what is the definition of full? When is information too much information? Does it have any bearing on a diagnosis?

I don't want to walk in with 25 pages if I can drop off 20 instead.

Details, details.

Yes, I had a one-time dose of antibiotic and that was that.

The report was in with all of my other stuff, but I pulled it out and did not include it.

Next topic: eye results.

We don't necessarily believe that you should present your neuro with all the data you collect.  You should have it in the interest of knowing your history and being able to answer questions or given the doc older information if he wants it.

Given his last reaction, unless he has asked for it, I would have it with me in a folder and let him know this.  You run the risk of him deciding you are a hypochondriac obsessed with your health and everything that has ever happened to you.

A person can have a neurological problem and also have Lyme Disease.  Both are common.  He should know that after the onset of neuro symptoms, you also had a tick bite.  It was treated at the time wasn't it?
