Interesting CCSVI theory

This doctor posits that the death of oligodendrocytes causes the immune system to send in white blood cells to clean up the mess - the immune system isn't the cause, it's a natural process of the body.  

He thinks that the oligodendrocytes die because of hypoperfusion - not enough oxygen/blood to the tissue.

I agree about the immune system and the oligodendrocytes - I've never been happy with the current explanation.  I'm not so sure about the hypoperfusion!

This statement is in agreement with a small study done in Australia a year or so ago.  I've been trying to dig up the source- I posted a link shortly after it came out, and now I can't find it....stand by...

It will be interesting to see in five years how all this plays out. I wish they would figure it out, though.
