Is this Spasticity?

Hi, Everyone.

I'm having a bad time these past few days. My back and pelvic area, abdomen, and my inner thighs have this pulling sensation. Is this spasticity? I am absolutley miserable. Keep trying to stretch but nothing relieves it.

Still awaiting the EMG results and Dr. K's opinion.

Hi, Zilla.

Thank you so much for all the advice.

So far, our insurance benefits rep has gotten no help from BCBS. My son works for BCBS, of IL, and our insurance is out of MI. We had to submit an authorization for him to speak to BCBS on our behalf.

When he finds out the details, we'll know whether or not we have to pay the entire amount, and if so, then I've learned a very expensive lesson.

The one thing, however, I will still refuse to pay is that $210.00 office charge fee.

Things are just so different where we live in IN. All the hospitals and doctors offices do the "Predetermination of Benefits" and advise us in advance what is not covered. They even know what the 'amount allowed' fee will be for our office calls, consults, etc. They do their homework out here.

So far, they have accepted payments on the bill...although they do have those annoying messages on my bill....this bill is past due, it needs your immediate attention...blah, blah, blah. My DH, DID call and speak to them when we first received the bill and told them he would make a payment on it each month while we investigated it.

If they threaten to send it to collections, I may just tell them to 'kiss my moony a**!

   Again, thanks.

I hope you're feeling better soon!

If it's going to affect your credit, like you are getting statements saying they are putting you into collections, then bring up the Dept. of Insurance agency.  Otherwise, just say you refuse to pay something that's not billable, until they can show you what they have billed for.  You want the code.  Your insurance company should have a patient rep that can help you.  But, yes, if it's going to affect your credit, and it probably is at this point, state that you are drawing up a letter for the regulating insurance agency.

It may help, too, to say they may have mistakenly billed this 'procedure,' and ask that it be removed from your bill, as you have looked into it, and your patient rep at your insurance company can find no billable code for it.  (Blatant lie, I know)  But it gives them an out.  Then tag on that if it is going to affect your credit, you will have no option but to contact the governing regulatory insurance agency.

It probably wouldn't hurt to tell them to kiss your moony a**, either.

Good luck!

They had better stay away from my 'moon' if they know what's good for them! LOL

If they don't get it schedule pretty soon, I'm going to be cranky.

Regarding insurance; I looked at my E.O.B. on-line for Cleveland Clinic, and they submitted Dr. K's fee as a consultation and I got the 'amount allowed' so now I know University of Chicago should have submitted it that way. I'm sending them a letter telling them to submit it with the correct codes, and I am also refusing to pay that $210.00 use of office charge. Should I tell them I am putting in a complaint with the IL Dept. of Insurance? Thanks for any advice.

If they're aiming for your "moon,"  tell them to kiss the other end!

You'll have permission to be cranky!

Moon 'em!

You've had a busy weekend between both games. That's great that your daughter helps you and the other Mom out with the concession stand.

I hope the Z-pac helps you.

Ooh, fire in the fireplace sounds nice.

Not cooking dinner either. DH is going to grill some hot dogs. Then, I'm laying down on the couch with the Yorkies and I'm not moving 'til bedtime.

Right now, I don't know how I'm going to manage showings.  Sounds crazy, but I'm glad they haven't scheduled any yet.

Have a peaceful evening.

I put a fire in the fire place and gonna chill,Ain't even gonna cook dinner because no one is here to eat tonight.I'm solo.Just me and the dog.maybe we'll order out.

I know we suffer when its hot we suffer when its cold.Football is almost over .I hate to say it but yea. They are looking at going to the playoffs. So it may not be over as early as I'd like.At least wrestling is in the gym.
