Lulu,
Yes it helped with my mood (can you say chocoholic ). but not with my diet ( today I was up 1.7 lbs).
Jen,
I guess I have lost too many things over the years..I don't panic any more. I just shrug my shoulders and say oh well.
Dennis
What I hate is the panicked feeling when I can't find something I've lost - especially when I had it just a few minutes before.
Did the hot fudge sundae help? It always makes me feel better to eat ice cream! Perhaps we need to put homing beacons on everything we own so they never are truly lost.
I'm with you on the house size - too many nooks and corners for things to disappear into!
Lu
Still no sign of my pans.
Last night I thought I would make some instant pudding but could not locate my mixer. Found the beaters just were they should have been, but no mixer. I can't even remember where I usually keep the mixer. :( So I went out and had a hot fudge sundae :)
I have a lot of problems in losing things like keys, or drinks. I'll set down my drink someplace and walk off to do something and will spend hours trying to find the drink again. I even go out to my car at times in order to go to the store and will leave my keys in my house. But losing pans and mixers is getting out of hand. Maybe my house is just too big (3200 sq ft) for my mind to handle any more. Especially when you add in the carport (800 sq ft) and garage ( 900 sq ft).
Dennis
I'll keep an eye out for your brain, but need to know what it looks like so that I don't send you the wrong brain.
Will also try to keep an eye out for the frying pans and return them to you, unless they are better than what I have here or mine go missing.
LOL,
Audrey
LOL, I end up searching for dishes all the time, but that is because my older two boys unload the dishwasher and they rarely put things where they belong. I have been missing my vegetable peeler for about 2 months now and I'm about to break down and buy a new one. I'm sure the boys hid that on purpose to try to cut down on the amount of veggies I serve :-)
I like to say I didn't lose my mind, the kids stole it!
I'm glad you were able to get your dinner made. It sounds like it was yummy!

Isn't it weird when these things happen?
Once we finally find whatever it is, we usually also remember why we put it wherever it is. Not always, though. The day I was leaving for 3 weeks out of the country I couldn't find my keys anywhere. I had other keys, but the idea of leaving with keys floating around who knows where is unsettling, to say the least.
I retraced all my steps several times, climbing into the car almost upside down to look in all the nooks and crannies, calling the supermarket, etc. Ultimately, there they were in the pocket of a coat I'd swear I didn't wear that day. How mindless is that??
Any luck, Dennis?

M a y b e it's with mine out frolicking in lala land!
Maaybe it will come back to us stronger and missing a few lesions and holes.
Maaaaaybe it needed a break from all we put it through and has ...left the building!

Anyone seen my car keys???
Not hanging up, in my coat poccket, handbag, upstairs by my bed, in the kitchen. Where are the spare ones???
Hmmhhh several hours later...where is my logic and reason.... they were in the car ignition of course and I had forgotten to take them out.
We all lose things..you are in good company.

Ahhh, shoot! I was going to suggest the oven and then the raccoons. But, what are they going to do with panties and skillets and brains??? I don't even want to imagine.....
Q
After checking Quix's thread, I just realized you and I figured it out that it was the raccoons stealing your pans (and mine) about the same time. I swear I didn't see your response first! LOL Deb
Can you believe I have looked all over a frying pan tonight, too? They can only be in three different places--the refrigerator, dishwasher, or pan drawer and they simple aren't there!
There's probably an easy explaination--they've taken off with same raccoons that stole Quix's underwear! Those little rascals!
Have you check the freezer or the oven or the dryer. My favorite place is the freezer. I put the weirdest things in the freezer. I think it is like my brain thing where I say like appliances for the one I mean.

Lulu,
Yes it was yummy..Ham steak with pineapple bits. I had steamed spinach with sautéed mushrooms and bacon bits, Sweet Potatoes with butter and brown sugar along with it. And no the old ones did not show up after using the new ones.
Bob,
Didn't think of the oven, but alas no pans there either.
Dennis
I found my frying pan in the refrigerator on time. Not sure why I put it there. Just one of the ADD moments when the phone range. I've also left them in the oven before.
Bob
Dennis,
"Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!" is a favorite bumper sticker. Of course the rule is as soon as you use those brand new pans and can't return them, the old ones will show up in the cupboard where they should have been all along.
How was the ham steak? Yummy, I bet.
