Just letting you all know

Went to my regular DR. well saw his PA which she was awesome I explained how I felt about the MS doctor saying benign MS. So she talked to my doctor and he got the report from the MS DR. said he is one of the best MS Dr. around here but if I wanted to see another one that was fine. So I decided I am going to my regular Dr. I have an appointment next week. We are going to do up a plan and figure out the medicine. I guess one of the reasons he did not push Copaxone cause of my headaches. I think he is afraid of them getting worse. Any suggestion for the pain or is there anything I should run by my DR.

Thank you
Betty

you have all been great help. Made me feel better just the support from all of you. I all so called the NMS society she did not agree with calling my MS benign. So that is why I am going to stick with my General Dr. and I also see a neuro  Dr. that does not specialize in MS but I am sure between them two they will help.

again Thank You,
Batty

Headaches or exacerbation of headaches is not one of the side effects of copaxone.

Dmd's slow the progression of MS in some people. It can lengthen the amount of time between relapses and can lessen their severity. Considering an MS relapse can cause symptoms that can potentially be permanent, I don't see the logic in not putting you on it b/c it might cause you headaches.  Really?

My way of thinking any potential benefit you get from starting a dmd far outweight the possibility of headaches even if copaxone caused them or exacerbated them.

If I remember your earlier post correctly you are experiencing MS sx that the dr is not attributing to your MS b/c he thinks you have "benign" MS, yet your sx are getting worst.

I would say follow your gut on this one. Just b/c your current neuro is supposed to be the best doesn't mean that he is good or the best for you.  However, if you are satisfied with the level of care you are getting, stay.

My neuro is not an MS specialist but he is a gem and I woudn't go to anyone else.  Everyone has to do what they feel is right for them. Sorry I cannot help you with your pain question. Good luck.
