having a rough time

Sorry i haven't been on for a while. Having a rough time. Blood in my urine. Lots of it. Had to rule out bladder cancer. Son-in-law lost job, so they moved in..septic system went on the fritz now using paper plates, going to laundromat...you get the picture.

I also had to stop the copaxone. I had awful injection site reactions. The size of softballs. There's nothing else I can take, so I'm a little bit frustrated. Still have blood in my urine and they aren't sure why. Going for a ct scan tomorrow and cystoscopy next week. They wonder if it is somehow connected to the MS. They want to do some wacky test on me. I'm not sure what it is but it sounds awful. Anyone know anything about that? Needless to say, I am discouraged. I need to go to neuro for followup but can't until we figure out what's going on with hematuria.

Sorry for venting. No one else understands these frustrations.

Hi WW- welcome back.  I thought we hadn't seen you around for a while

Are you perhaps talking about the urodynmics test that seems to be routine for many here?  I haven't had it done but I know Q has and wrote extensively about all this.

I hope they figurre out the cause of the blood quickly -

It sounds like at the c rap hit the fan around the same time for you - I hope it calms down very soon.

stay in touch,
Lulu

Willow,

I'm sorry about this rough patch you're going through; sometimes when it rains, it pours.

I've had a lot of bladder testing done; some with tiny electrodes, and none of it was bad.  It really helped to meditate and remain calm, which was really easy with my uro-gynecologist and her assistant, who joked and were very gentle and caring.

Take care,

Kathy

Hi Willow--

I'm really sorry for all you're going through. It never rains but it pours. Do feel free to rant here, and to tell us anything at all.

Most bladder testing isn't awful. When you find out which you'll have let us know. And please keep us posted on everything.

Hey - nice to see you.

My gosh.  Well, 1st things 1st - get through these tesst.  Worry about DMD treatment when you find out what is going on.

I'm sorry about the septic and I totally am w/you and feel your pain.  We've got one, and w/5 people in the house, it's constant conservation or a flood at thlowest spot in the house.  I've cleaned up more water and dried more carpet in the basement than I'd like - an absolute nightmare.  All the while cursing like a truck drive - what a mess.

I'll tell you about laundry "stuff" on PM - k?

Vent away! We've got lots of new friends here too that will chime in  - in addition to those you know.

I have had some bladder testing but was knocked out during so it was not a nightmare.  I will pray that your Urologist is good.  Is that the type of Dr that is doing this test?

Hang in best you can ...ttys,
((hugs)))
