I had a MRI done in June and noticed it was read by a diagnostic radiologist, he has been in practice for 39 years and has probably seen alot but with MS I'm sure alot could be missed to and 2 more years of study sounds pretty significant to me! But goll after 39 years who knows maybe he is an equal by now! I guess I will find out eventually! Thanks for your responses I appreciate the help mucho!
That makes sense... now, if you can find one at the radiology clinic where you got your MRIs, you'll be in luck!
Hi, in researching the two terms a diagnostic radiologist views all different types of images - x-rays, mri's etc and correlates the findings of these images with other tests treatments and diagnosis.
A neuroradiologist is a radiologist who specialized in the central nervous system and focuses on diagnosis and characterizing abnormalities.
A neuroradiologist does 2 more years of study after becoming a diagnostic radiologist.
