Low lymphs

In November, my lymphs were at 19.  This week, new blood work shows lymphs at 9.  Below normal. Should I be concerned? Is there anything I can do to get them up? I'm currently taking Tecfidera.

Are you Corrie and KMclay measuring on same scale? 9 and 0.9 seem so far distant? I am wondering about this and was actually going to post because my own abs. Lymphs measured at 1.2 recently and have been falling over several years and while not relevant to Tec I am just interested in this since so far it's flagged by labs but no docs have mentioned it. So if you are measuring on same scale then I am thinking I need more info about my own reading since a 9 on Tec is higher than a 1.2 on nothing? I haven't found anything or been informed about anything that suggests ms causes low lymphs but I know the drugs do. Do you feel ok KMclay or have you noticed feeling worse?

Hi there, I use Tec also and around month 3 my absolute lymphs dropped to 0.6 so my neuro ordered monthly blood work to keep an eye on things.

At month 6 they crept up to 0.9 and after month 8 they went up to 1.12 and they have pretty much stayed there since at month 13.

Just make sure your neuro is keeping an eye on things. Biogen recommends temporarily stopping Tec around 0.5 but my neuro said if I hit that mark we are stopping it for good.

Supposedly only a small percentage have low lymphs and typically they do go backup again. No need to panic but be watchful.

There is not anything you can do to get them up. For cancer they give you an ecoli shot to bring them up. You just have to make sure you keep away from sick people. If you go out take hand cleaner. You do not have to wear a mask. Also be careful of raw foods. Cook them.
