dITTO TO John.  Betaseron and all the others are expected to SLOW the disease progression.  The fortunate few might see their disease slowed to a standstill, but in the long run, they still have MS.

In addition, there is often little, if any, correlation between visible lesions and specific symptoms, let alone their severity.

Sometimes a lesion in a specific location can be blamed for symptoms in a general category (visual, for example), but from all I've learned in 4 years of suspected-something-but-we-can't-see-enough-to-really-say-what, the lack of new lesions cannot be counted on as a definite predictor for symptom development.

However, because lesion load and new or worsened symptoms both indicate disease, there is hope that the lack of worsening in one measurement is an indicator that the disease is, in fact, being slowed.  Without the Betaseron, there is a good chance that your symptoms could be worse than they are now.

Meanwhile, we will pray that your disease progression by all forms of measurement is brought to a halt altogether.

I hope I've made sense here; cog fog is bad today.

I hope it not kidney stone,It seemed to last on 2-3 mins now lumber is tender today, the med was pretty cold and i know from past cold is almost as bad as heat if not worse for me.
I think i may want to try tysarbi see if that helps any better with muscle weakness.
The iv was steroid which i heard not sure can cause kidney stones.

PastroDan, you are getting better!  yesterday your cog fog was worse (grin)

to poster:  if you feel you are getting worse, definitely run it by your neuro, he might switch you to something else.  The boys are right, nothing makes it go away completely, DMD just tries to lessen the lesions and flares, but the pesky symptoms will probably haunt you.

ah MS hugs don't usually sink as low as the pelvic area, have you considered seeing a urologist, my kidney stone started that way...

Hope you find out what is going on, I tend to make my replies blunt, I too have cognitive fog and find it hard to concentrate for long periods, such as typing out extensive replies

I'm not DX  with MS,  however from what I understand the DMD'S  can't stop the progression of MS,  however it may slow down the MS.

That seems to be the goal of a therapy  and a relapse can still occur

take care
