MRI interpret

Can a neurologist legally interpret MRI neuro exams and issue reports for referring physicians in outpatient facility ? . I thought only Radiologist were allowed to do this . Facility is in the state of Florida

My MS neurologist likes to read MRI's himself. In fact he likes to read them so much he recently installed 2 3T machines in his practice :-) The images are read by a radiologist but he relies on his own interpretation.

Yes, neuros can do this. In fact any doctor can do that but most realize they don't have the skill or training to do it right.

My neuro reads his own MRI images and doesn't pay attention to the radiologist's report.
