yes, I have a lesion on my c-spine
I have hyper reflexes on the left. I also have had clonus reflexes a few times right and left. I, too, thought that was a good thing to have "healthy" quick reflexes. Ha.. Oh, well. That was before any diagnosis or working theory and with no lesions showing anywhere on my MRIs.
Hi Weeblz.
Increased reflexes are associated with upper motor neuron lesions.
Do you know if you have spinal lesions?
I was just wondering about them. I know lesions on C-spine can cause them, but I guess I just wondered what all it means.
I think hyper reflexes are just an indication of damage to the cns and the neuro tests your reflexes to get an idea of whether something's going on within the cns. Mine are too brisk too...when I first read that in my neuro notes I naively thought it was a good thing that I had such lightening-fast reflexes! I know otherwise now...oh I must say though that mine were actually a bit slow at my last check up so I guess it can change.
All the best, Zoe
Oh bummer, i lost my post...%*%&&%....too tired to redo it, so have a read of this section of a book
