MRI w/ contrast

So I had to have an MRI w/ contrast.  This is my first time having contrast.  For 2-3 days my upper body, especially neck and shoulders hurt and was stiff.  Not like joint pain, but like I was bruised...  Of note, I also had taken diazepam cause I'm claustrophobic.

Anyone else ever experience this?  Or am I just a weirdo? Side effect of the contrast?

That's what I am hoping for, a dx soon, this way we can start some sort of treatment.  Funny my last MRI did not show any active lesions but I am still suffering from symptoms.  I wonder if this is going to be the new "normal" for me.  Just like you said, at least it is not cancer.  I am just glad to know that for now my symptoms are being taken seriously.  I recall when I first started with the dizziness and the tingling and such many, many, years ago, I was basically told that it was "stress."  I wonder what they would have found if they had looked further into this :-/

I was wondering if he didnt...  But there were other variables, the diazepam, oh and it was my last day of solu-medrol infusion.

I have my official diagnosis (RRMS) and have had a gamma of tests already. this MRI was just to check for a c-spine lesion cause of new symptoms.  I see him at the end of this month prior to the baseline testing for the clinical trial I will be starting in mid August...

Waiting and ruling out *****.  Most people don't want to hear an MS diangosis, but for me, it was a diagnosis.  I couldn't stand not knowing, wondering, doubting myself...  And at least it wasn't a cancer diagnosis.  It could be worse.

LOL funny Im a biller/code as well for 10 years, I work for a neurosurgery practice.

I think the person who did the IV access screwed up your arm for a bit there.

I see my neurologist this coming Tuesday and I can't wait.  I have so many questions and I've been driving myself nuts.  I haven't received an official dx yet but this waiting and ruling out period really ***** lol

I've been a biller/coder for 12 years.  I've worked with a lot of physicians from all specialties - I know quite a bit about medical and for the life of me I can't figure this one out.  I have never had a physician talk about this, or even read it in a chart note...  However, that IV/access site did hurt the same as the rest of me for 2-3 days.

It is on my list to ask the neurologist, but I'm hopelessly impatient. ;)

Hmmm, I had an MRI with contrast last Saturday and I had no effects from that.  They tech told me to expect some burning once he was injecting the contrast but I felt fine.  On another note, I remember one time I went for this blood test and the tech really screwed my arm up I was hurting for days.  Could it be that it is from the IV/access site?
