Yesterday my dr. (MS specialist) ordered an MRI, with and without contrast, of the brain and cervical. He was saying this out loud to the young lady assisting him, she was writing it down, and my husband was also writing it down!
I was able to have this MRI yesterday, same day as my first appt. with him (yahoo, point in their favor!)
What are the parts of the MRI that need to be checked? The T is for thoracic, correct? And C is for cervical, which he did mention.
Now if he did NOT mention thoracic, BUT, I was told by the MRI lady not to swallow while they did the MRI on my throat, does it follow that they tested my thoracic area?
And guess what, right after she tells me to not swallow, to hold still, I swallowed!! SEVEN TIMES. A few minutes later she tells me to hold still, don't swallow, so I don't know if it was a continuation of the same test, or a retake of the 7-times one. And I "only" swallowed four times. ARGH.
Will this mess up any results?
Thanks,
Suzanne
