Well, I do see the splotches other times too,, but it's more noticeable on the pc, Chris. How odd you get them too. Hmmmm A new thing with the vision prob too. When I fall asleep on the couch, and wake up and glance at the tv , the people on the shows are green. It scared the begeezuz outta me the first time it happened. But I gave myself about 15 mins to let them adjust and it was ok then. I just don't want to lose my sight. I have kids, and so do you. We can't be playing this waiting game these doctors have us on.
Hi all.........I am also a limbo-er. I'm going thru all the testing now. I had an episode in 2001 that I lost total vision in my left eye. It lasted about a half hour to 45 min. When I told my family dr. he wanted an MRI done. Well before I cluld do that, I had a severe sinus infect. Went to ENT and he freaked when I told him. He sent me right there on the spot to have MRI done. I was told it came out alright. Final dx was that my sinus was so inflammed that it pressed against my optic nerve. Only reason I didnt accept taht explantion was I did not have the sinus problem at the time I lost vision. My site in my left eye has never been the same. Blurry all the time. See bugs that are not there, flashes........spots, you name it. I had an MRI done on Feb. 8th. My neuro. said did not see anything to worry about. I spoke to him the other day to line up having blood work done. I told him i had forgot to mention about my episode in 2001. He said ok, lets get the blood work done and probaly a LP in my future. Anyway, I was trying to get to the point that all this started with a migraine on Jan 23. and I have had one a week that has sent me to the ER. I'm noticing things that I had just put off because I have a physically demanding job. Not to mention stressful. I just thought I was tired all the time due to work. The dizziness I thought was my sinus. I had to scope passed thru my nose on Feb. 2, and ENT said you do not have a sinus problem or an inner ear problem. THEN WHY AM I SPINNING!!!
I am just praying that someone will have answers. Like I told my neuro, I am not trying to borrow trouble, I just want an explaination. Thank God it has been 2 weeks and no headache. I almost hate to say that..lol
I am very intrested in the relationship of migraines to MS. I have read about it and seems the jury is still out on that one.
Wow, I am rambling on again........
Hugs and prayers to all...........

Hey since we are all in limbo.........im passing the stick..........lol
Oh how wierd Lisa!
I get those same blotches, but I see them on anything white. Kinda of like a round shadow, right? There but not?
Hard to explain....I thought everyone had that! LOL

I'm also a limbo-er. Shall we have a party?. lol When you asked about the blurry vision and color problems it kinda hit home. I have problems with contrast colors. If something is gray or brown, and low light definitely makes it hard for me to see. I also noticed if I'm on the computer and I'm reading something with a white background I see these beige splotches behind the words. I also have dimming in my right eye. Headaches are more often too, and I get a sinus pressure behind the eyes. Sometimes it will even wrap around to the back of my head and cause tingling and numbness.
Just weird freaky stuff. I wouldn't pay no mind if it was a typical headache, but when it's out of left field you begin to worry.
*waves to chris* hee he
hugz,, Lisa
Update:
well, the eye seems fine this morning, as I suspected it would be.
Somedays I just wish there could be some consistency to my symptoms!

I'm a limbo-lander too. And I would not panic at optic neuritis...lol I laugh because it would mean that someone would probably take me seriously!
The only colour difference I noticed was that things looked VERY slightly dimmer in the painful eye. I am not sure if it hurt when I moved my eye, or just hurt because...honestly I'm not great at paying attention to things like that.
I see a new neuro in April, and I'll mention it to her, my family doc hasn't taken much notice of the electric shock sensations that go through my eyes, so it can't be too important I figure. She's typically very good!

It does. I have the same thing. Do you have more pain when you move your eyes? Do you have blurry vision? How do colors look to you, especially red?
I was recently diagnosed with optic neuritis - please don't panic at that. There are others around who can offer more accurate info I'm sure. I am not implying that this is what you have, just looking for more info to clarify. I would go and have a thorough eye exam though just to be sure.
That does not sound like a migraine - I have a history of those.
Do you have a diagnosis or are you a limbolander like me?

Oh when I say intermittent, I mean, there's no pattern, but it's not totally constant. I get 30 seconds or a minute here and there that doesn't hurt!
I have a sharp ache (as opposed to a dull ache), that is behind the eye, as well as just below it. The pain seems intermittent, and has been going on for about 10 or 12 hours now.
Ibuprofen has dulled the pain considerably, so I don't fear it's anything too serious, but it's aggrevating, and there is no associated headache, just eye pain. Weird!
Does that help at all?

I am undiagnosed too. Can you tell us more about your pain? There are so many factors that could change what people's answers might be - so many things that can cause the pain too. For example, is it your eyeball that hurts or pain in the area around your eye? What does the pain feel like?
