I wondered if there were biomarkers. Presumably, the testing would be possible already in hospitals, then, right? Dagnabbit, Quix, you do know you to throw water on a fire.
Ya doctor, ya.

Everyone needs to realize that this technology is still likely years away. Once they have a test it is at least a couple years to FDA approval.
The second problem is that as of yet there are no biomarkers for MS. None have yet been discovered that are distinctly and uniquely found in MS. The search for biomarkers, as we have talked about before, is one of the biggest pushes in MS research going on. Many seem promising, but the holy grail has yet to be found.
So, while this "would be" a great thing, there are still some significant hurdles. I can be such a downer, can't I?

Give up my 15 minutes of fame for a 15 minute diagnosis? You betcha.
Sally
Yes, but what they neglected to say was WHICH 15 minutes it would be!
Where is Andy Warhol when you need him??????

Sometimes it boggles my mind, not that boggling my mind is a complicated feat, to look at the advances that have been made in medicine. What wasn't even dreamed about 20 years ago is now reality in so many fields. This next proposed step sounds wonderful - imagine minimal testing to get a diagnosis in a hurry!
Here's hoping,

Thanks for the information...I wonder if it would be beneficial for all the members to print this document off and send it to their neuros anonymously...at least it would be informative for some that are living in the 9 lesion dark ages! hehe
