MVA, NERVE DAMAGE, MS

Has anyone had major nerve damage from multiple MVA's and then been diagnosed with MS? I need to know if it's ever been established, in writing that this is a possibility. Can anyone help?

I had major trama to my spine 2 1/2 years ago from a fall off a ladder. I had 2 spine fusions as a result. Now I have a possible MS dx. I was told the fall didn't CAUSE MS but it may have contributed to it showing up now.

Actually, I have my neuro appt in 1 hour to discuss my test results. Will get back to you all after the appt.

Thanks for  your response. Yes, Motor Vehicle Accidents. Does anyone know if there is anything written supporting this evidence or any research being done to verify it? Doctors have said that it "might be possible" but will make no definite correlation. Hoping someone might provide some information for further research. Thanks

Hi Nickie,
Are you talking multiple vehicle accidents?  that's the most common meaning for the acronym MVA that I found .....

yes there are a number of people who report a major trauma, such as a car accident, cause their MS to rear its ugly head and then be dx'd.  It seems to happen more often than we might be led to think.

be well,
Lulu
