shins and feet for me. Builds and goes away in waves, but at the peaks can feel like my bones would crumble if I dared stand on them. Fortunately the extreme peaks wouldn't last too long. Don't know if it's related or not, but since I upped my vitamin D supplement I haven't had the extreme, although I still get pain in one or both legs and occasionally a forearm.
That is a better description.
The bones feel as though they are in a vise that gets tighter & tighter
For me it's my feet. They would often feel like they were in a vise. A corrupt message gets sent along damaged CNS pathways telling the pain center that controls my feet to fire. There is nothing wrong with my feet :-)
Through the miracle of modern pharmacology the pain is gone. I take a combination of Lyrica and Elavil.

I'm not sure i really understand what you mean by "feels like the bones are being crushed" .........the closest i can come up with, would be when my rib cage locks down when the intercostal muscles are spasming, because its a squash and a half and quite intense, location specific pain.
I maybe confused by the wording, over here in oz 'bone crushing pain' generally means the pain is really horrendous but nothing actually to do with bones, is that what the same as what you mean?
