Negative reaction to B12?

I was taking my B12 supplement religiously for over a month in hopes of not going back to injections.  During that time, I developed horrible nausea that I couldn't relieve and it also seemed to act negatively with my morning meds.  It felt like I had the stomache flu all the time and I was falling asleep every morning in a feeling like I needed to throw up (sorry) and also felt like I had overdosed on my meds.  Then I would sort of pass out in my recliner..

I didn't know what was wrong.

I backtracked and discovered that it started after I began the oral B12.

My question is, have any of you had a negative reaction to B12?  As if your stomache can't handle it?  At this point, I would rather go back to the injections and have stjopped the supplement.

I searched our forum here but couldn't find anything that fit my question.

thanks in advance,

Red

I was told that there was a problem with B12, by my Drug Store, I use the injections, so I don't know about a problem with the oral. But It sounds like maybe you sould consider starting the B12 injections again. My Dr. told me the give the best results.

Hope you start to feel better, sending you love filled hugs {{{{~!~}}} DJ

thank you so much Julie!  That means a great deal to me that you are thinking about me.

Carol, thank you so much for your prayers.  The injections went well for me, they raised my levels although not high enough apparently.  I don't have any problems doing my own shots and I metabolized it that way very well.

I think I will talk to my PCP next week and ask to be placed back on the shots.  thanks Carol.

I have taken the oral B12 but it didn't cause me any problems other than it didn't work... My B12 levels where still low and I had no energy... My PCP put me back on the injections and my levels evened out and my energy got a little better...

I'm not sure what the difference is because the oral form and the injections where the same dosage... I guess maybe it's the way our bodies metabolize it... Did you have any problems when doing the injections?  If not I would go back to them...

I'll be praying,
Carol
