Ugh, I wish I even knew what to do. My hands and feet have been burning and tingling since last Thursday. I called my current neuro to see if it was a side effect/reaction to Trileptal which I take for trigeminal neuralgia. I finally got a call back from him 3 days later. He says it could or could not be related to the medicine, but basically said to deal with it because the medicine seems to be helping some. My MRI showed lesions and the report states the lesions are consistent with MS. I have symptoms but they are subtle (except for the trigeminal neuralgia...that is far from subtle!) My neuro does not believe I have MS and that's fine. I just feel like something's wrong and he doesn't get it. So, I figured a second opinion couldn't hurt. Sorry, I'm just a little frustrated right now. :0(
... or (if you're like me), did you get a diagnosis you totally believe but want a second opinion anyways? Best wishes finding what you're looking for.

Second opinions are always a good thing, especially if you can't quite believe what the first doctor is telling you. The Consortium for MS Center (CMSC) has a directory of their specialists on their website.
You can query for MS specialists in your area through their site -

If I can ask, did you get a diagnosis you don't believe? Or did you not get a diagnosis and still think you have MS?
Good luck with finding someone you can work with.
be well,
