Max-C - That's how I read it. It's not to say the traditionals are not still good - they have the longest track record, and no new med can take that away - but this progress in meds makes me so hopeful for the future impact on MS - yay!
fwiw - There is another study update on the MS Consortium with a late stage trial that is showing better results too as compared to Rebif, but that's not an oral.
Aftermarket will tell the tale on these future meds for sure - and also how tolerable they are, side affects, etc....

Am I understanding that correctly? Does the study indicate greater success with the new oral drug than with copaxone?
I took the period out of the link and I can see it now! go figure................ :-)
fyi - Including the period at the end of the link...
Lu - may be your browser, because I just checked it again. Copy it in it's entirety, and paste directly into your browser........
My Dr is putting me on the BG-12 I think as soon as it comes out. She says it is really a promising choice for those like me who are not having luck with injections or infusions.
Actually she had a few words to say about the FDA holding back on it as it is a MUCH safer drug than fingolimoid of gilenya.
Oh the future is looking brighter every year for us :)

I'm excited for you all too if you all decide should go that route! Sounds promising doesn't it?
However, I wonder if people would want to switch to oral after doing years of injections or receiving infusions and feel they may be taking a risk by going off what was working for them to begin with?
Shell, those links are not working for me. We may need to find another article to link. From what I read, the results of this trial made many people at ECTRIMS go "WOW!!" The results were far superior than they had hoped for.
