I know how frustrating this must be for you, I know I've been in your situation and alot of people here have been. It can take years to find answers and different Drs...so it's really good to have a GP that knows you and can help out.
good luck and let us know how things progress. I also ask for copies of all my results sent to my home or I'll pick them up.. this is where I'm getting the tests done..
take care
wobbly
Thanks paula.
Right now, I wish I coulf just check myself in somewhere and tell them to do everything
I'm sure that most of us feel/have felt that way
I have to agree with your dr.
It is funny cause my PCP is more understanding of my problems than my neuro. Sometimes that is what it takes to get answers.
For example...my neuro wouldn't listen to me until I told him what my PCP was planning to do, which included things that my neuro should have been doing. He was going to order MRI of my spine and head, do an emg, and then run a LP if needed.
When I told my neuro all this, he looked at me and said well I think your doctor is on the right track, and he set it all up for me instead of my PCP.
When I get tests done trough my neuro I always have them send the results to my PCP as well as my neuro so that I have different people looking at them and the ones who care will be the one to follow through.
Ask your dr. to run tests that your neuro won't run. Can't hurt to ask and most of the time if they are on your side they will run them, then send a copy of the results to your neuro.
Good luck and best wishes
Paula
