I too have one brainstem lesions, and 4 or 5 at last count in my c-spine. My neuro says I also have one or more in my thoracic spine; no evidence on MRI but clinical symptoms indicate this is the case.
Your symptoms of numbness, tremor, and imbalance are concerning but pretty non-specific; MS has many mimics, some more serious, some less serious. Keep at it till they get to the root of the problem.
Submarine,
Like Tingle-T say, yes, it is possible. However, not all lesions are MS. Since you are seeing an MS specialist, I'd say you should be in good hands. But, if you are left with seemingly no answers, then indeed press for some. At least ask what else could be the cause of what you are experiencing.
I too hope to know more about how you are managing, and what the doc says are the next steps in identifying what is going on.
Hey submarine,
Yes, I have only one brain lesion and two spinal lesions. So, I would ask for another MRI and a lumbar puncture to rule out Oligoclonal bands.
Horrifying, frightening, scary times for you. But do not despair, this forum is just the tonic you'll need to get you through. I really feel for you having to deal with this at such a very young age.
The sooner you find out the sooner you can start treatment to slow progession and being male I think you owe it to yourself to make this a priority.
Please let us know how you get on.
Blessings
Alex
