NiCee and others who have been gone for a while....

NiCee - you have notes turned off so I couldn't leave you a message - it is good to see you have reclaimed your JOY.  It is yours and no one elses....

Anyone else out there checking in on us but not posting much these days?  Heather? Doni?  Sunny? Amish ERin?  Mayperl?   Wow, this list could go on and on so I will stop there.

I'm going to assume you're not posting here because you don't need us?   LOL  Seriously, I hope your absence means that your life is on track and you have found peace a way to live with this craziness.  We could all use some tips on how to do that !!!

NiCee, your change of mood started this.  I am so glad to see you got it back!!!  Everyone else, check in and help us kick off the weekend on a good note!

hugs to all of you, Lulu

For good or bad, these responses just reaffirm our belief that there is life after an MS dx (or non-dx for some of you!).

Thanks for popping through and giving us the updates - we really do care and have an interest in how each and every one or you are doing these days.

as always, Lulu

I am one of the ones that has been gone a while.  Some of you may remember I was diagnosed in March 2009. I started Rebif but it increased my depression as well a having side effects 24/7. I started Copaxone in September with NO side effects and NO missed days of work! However I'm afraid that is where the good news ends :(

December 2009 I injured my back and spent 13 weeks on disability for the injury, surgery (my second back surgery) and recovery. Since then I have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. In June 2009 I went to my neurologist for worsening balance, urinary issues,  muscle cramps and numbness is my arms, hands and legs. An MRI was ordered, and  Sept. 9th  I had my follow up.  The good news was the numbness and tingling was probably not MS related.....The bad news it was probably caused by the 3 herniated discs in my C-Spine with c-7 being the worst. More bad news.....even though I had gone almost a year with no ill side effects from the Copaxone.... I was not responding to treatment and I have 3 NEW lesions that are "very large and very concerning" per the neurologist.

I have a follow up with him in a couple weeks to give me time to digest this info as well as consider monthly infusions of Tysabri. With the side effects of Tysabri being similar to the side effects of Rebif I am concerned I will relive the mental and physical hell I endured in 2009 on the Rebif.

On a bright note I am still working a full time job and a side job even though it has been difficult and NO missed work since my return from surgery 3/10/10

Doni,

Great news about the health insurance, glad you finally got some relief financially with the health care. Sorry  you're so tired but "cruising through" is acceptable = ).

It's good to know that are old "regulars " are doing okay.!

Sorry.......been too pooped to pop....hahaha

Went back to work and mostly just crash and burn when I get home.  Been in a major flare for 2 weeks now, just trying to survive and keep working.

I do cruise through and check on all of you, just don't have the energy to post!!

Now have health insurance, finally!!!  So maybe I can at least get some treatment for some of my symptoms, like the fatigue, spasticity, and spasms......that would be sooo nice....hahaha

I do think of all of you and you are always in my prayers!!!

Deb, what a great update.  Congrats on the successful surgery and your will power to stick with the regimen of exercise and diet.  Pat yourself of the back, ok?

Whether you know it or not, we do miss you coming through and giving us a quick update - even if it is to say nothing is different.  It's nice to know, though, that you are keeping an eye out for us.

Now how about some more of you - Fluffysmom?  Ray911?  And all the others....

Pop in and give us a quick hello, please.

I do not post very often, but I go through the forum everyday.  I need to read what is going on with everyone, but have little to say myself.

We need the forum, sometimes we don't have too much to chip in.

Thank you for caring.

Gooddays

I too am a frequent cruiser but very infrequent poster. I am bouncing around in here several times per week.

I suppose I owe a big fat thank you to those of you who do post often... Thank you. :)
