No O bands

I had a lumbar puncture a year ago, came back no O bands had white spots on mri of brain, which they said could be from migraine headaches.  So he said highly unlikely, not MS.  None of the symptoms have changed much in last 7 years,  but then another dr. Recently said she wouldnt be surprised if my "flare ups" arer eally MS.  Now,this would not be possible if spinal came back ok.  Correct??? Still no diagnosis other thsn CFS and Fibromyalgia.

The short answer to your question is No. LPs do not provide definitive information about MS.

Only a neurologist can diagnose MS. If you have had symptoms for 7 years it would make sense to have more lesions? Sometimes LPs are negative with MS. You might look at the McDonald Criteria that is how they diagnose MS. You can always be followed by a neurologist and a year from the MRI have another. How do your neurological exams go? If they are normal than it is not MS. The neurological exam is reflexes and such. Any doctor can do a neurological exam. CFS and Fibromyalgia are very real conditions which make your life miserable.
