Melly, white matter hyperintensities can be found in lupus, so brain lesions do not make it more likely that you have ms rather than lupus. CNS lupus is a mimic of multiple sclerosis.
MS lesions have certain characteristics. When the radiologist reports that the lesions are non-specific, they are saying that they don't have the characteristics of an ms lesion (plaque) which tend to be a certain size, ovoid, and exist in certain areas, in particular perpendicular to the ventricles in finger like projections called Dawson's fingers.
Certainly, all over pins and needles (both hands and both feet) would not be suggestive of ms. When a lesion hits an area of the central nervous system (CNS), you would see symptoms in only that area. Generally one eye, one leg, whole side on occasion with a spinal or some brain lesions.
Because your bloodwork was positive for lupus, it seems more likely to be the correct diagnosis. Nothing you have said here suggests ms would be a better diagnosis.
I hope this helps. Please remember, I'm not a doctor, but picked up quite a bit of information about ms mimics on my way to diagnosis. It would likely help you to go back to your neurologist and have him/her explain their reasoning to you. Additionally, please make sure you've had your vitamin D, B12 and magnesium levels checked. A deficiency in these areas can cause neurological issues like tingling.
If someone could help me or point me in right direction on what to do I have pins and needles in my feet and hands my drs keep saying its stress. I'm worried about my MRI result as I have said above in my post ? If you could point me in a direction that would be great :) really don't know what to do thank you :)
