Normal?

Ok I am having an off day today, I feel lightheaded when I stand up, my legs feel like lead right now and my face feels so numb.  What I don't understand this that my MRI with contrast did not show any "active" lesions but I am still having these symptoms.  Is it the norm for people to still have the symptoms but no active lesions? Really having an off day today.

BTW, my blood work came back, Lyme is negative,B12-normal, but my WBC, Vitamin D were back a bit high.  I will speak to my GP about this.  I have my neuro appointment this Tuesday.

I live in NY actually.  What the test showed was high levels of calcitriol.  I looked this up and from what I understand sarcoidosis can cause this.  I will have my Neuro send me for X-rays of the chest and such next time I see him just to rule this out.  Sarcoidosis can mimic MS.

High Vitamin D?  I've never heard of anyone's Vitamin D being high.   Do you live near the equator?

Most MS patients eventually have some symptoms (IIRC) that stay, even though their lesions don't enhance with gadolinium added as a contrast agent for some series of MRI images.  All the enhancement means is that there's new lesion growth.  Lesions rarely go away, and if they do, there's little to suggest that the damage that they've done has been repaired by our incredible brains.   Others know more on this topic than I, so they are more than welcome (begged, actually) to chime in, but you might read the "Lesions vs. Symptoms" Health Page (usually linked to this page over there: >>>>>>>------------>  on the right-hand column of this site.

Peace & blessings.
